Tasting Notes
The 2005 Syrah was co-fermented with Viognier (3%) and do we love the results! We sourced the fruit for this wine from four amazing Washington State vineyards: Boushey, Klipsun, Lewis and Stillwater Creek.
This vintage of JM Syrah offers an exceptionally rich core of dark fruit, traditional Hermitage aromas and flavors, and a finish of great length.
While this wine is drinking well now, it should cellar beautifully for 7 – 10 years.
Acclaim for the 2004 Syrah
91 points: (The Wine Advocate #172, August, 2007)
The 2004 Syrah offers up aromas of Asian spice, grilled meat, espresso roast, and blueberry. There are layers of spicy blue fruits, concentrated flavors, and a 45+ second finish. Drink this hedonistic Syrah through 2017.
