Tre Fanciulli, Italian for three treasured boys.  When we named this wine back in the 1999 vintage our boys were 11 (Jack), 7 (Tommy) and 3 (Joe); they are now 21, 17 and 13 and, believe it or not, they are still our greatest treasure.  The wine we named in their honor is a blend of 67% Cabernet Sauvignon (Jack), 19% Merlot (Tom) and 14% Syrah (Joe; who will tell you he is "spicy"!).  Here is the blend for 2007:

• 38% Alder Ridge Vineyard Cabernet Sauvignon
• 19% Klipsun Vineyard Cabernet Sauvignon
• 14% Connor Lee Vineyard Merlot
• 14% Lewis Vineyard Syrah
• 10% Ciel du Cheval Vineyard Cabernet Sauvignon
• 5% Klipsun Vineyard Merlot 

Without a doubt, this is the best Tre Fanciulli we have made to date.  Buonissmo!
