JM Cellars FAQs
Our maximum capacity is 100, though we have hosted many intimate gatherings as well. We are able to accommodate a maximum of 40 vehicles in our parking lot with the use of valet services. We would be happy to recommend uses of the space to comfortably host events of all sizes.
Friday-Sunday events can begin at 6:30pm and will last for 5 hours until 11:30pm. If you are looking for a longer event, we do have the option to buy out our tasting room to add additional time to the beginning of your event (please inquire for pricing).
If you are hosting your event on a weekday when our tasting room is not open, we can begin your 5 hour event window at whatever time you prefer.
We do not have in-house catering, but have an amazing list of preferred caterers for you to choose from. We do require clients to contract full service catering from a caterer from our preferred list, as they know our property well will help create a seamless event.
Due to our extremely limited parking, we will contract Butler valet for you and include this on your event order. We will work with you to determine the number of valet attendants required to safely and comfortably accommodate your group.
If you choose to contract shuttles, we would be happy to work with you to reduce valet needs if possible.
Though we are not fully ADA accessible, we have done our best to make modifications to our property in order to host all guests. We have a gravel path that leads down to our bocce court which is (typically used for ceremonies for weddings.) If you have any guests in wheelchairs or with walkers, they will most likely require some assistance down this path by someone in your party. The majority of the main spaces for our events have paved access. If someone needs accessible access to our loft space, we do have a lift on the back patio (near the entrance to the loft) which can be accessed by vehicle.
Yes we do! We have a beautiful private loft upstairs which you will have access to as early as 10am the day of your wedding. It has two separate areas for couples to get ready (each with their own restroom), a pool table room, large lounge space & open kitchen. You will have a private entrance separate from our tasting room as well as a small private patio and parking area.
No outside alcohol is permitted up here during the day but if you would like a bottle of JM wine or some glasses of Hops & Seed beer, your venue manager can bring some up to you upon request.
We require at least partial planning services to be contracted with a planner from our preferred list. These planners are all well versed in hosting events at JM Cellars, and will help with all of the decisions needed to plan an amazing event.
Although you aren’t required to choose from a preferred list for other vendors, we do have vendors who we have loved working with in the past and would be happy to send along these recommendations upon request.
Absolutely! Though we are kid friendly, we are not “child proofed.” We please ask that there is a non-drinking adult onsite to watch and kids for the duration of your event, so that everyone can have a safe and fun celebration.
We also love well-behaved dogs, and are happy to have them join in the festivities. Most folks choose to have a dog-sitter take their four legged friends back home after photos and ceremony.
JM is located near many great accommodation options. Though we are in the heart of Woodinville wine country, we are also just a short drive away from Bothell (10 minutes), Kirkland (15 minutes), Kenmore (15 minutes), and Redmond (15 minutes). Depending on where you live or the experience your guests are looking for, Seattle is also only about a 30 minute drive away, and Bellevue is about 20 minutes.
We are able to offer beer through Hops & Seed Brewery for our events. We sell the beer by the 1/6th keg (about 50 glasses) which would be applied to your beverage minimum. We typically have 3 options to choose from, and would be happy to taste through them when you come to select your wedding wines.
Any non-JM alcohol will be provided by your caterer, and all alcohol will be served by your caterer. We allow 2 signature cocktails (served only during the cocktail hour portion of your event; once dinner service begins, cocktail service will stop) as well as sparkling wine, beer, hard cider, etc.
Yes we do - any day of the week, any time of year! Though summer is our busiest season, spring and fall are spectacular times to enjoy all of the greenery on our property. Our indoor spaces also offer great cozy options for winter weddings.
